Overview

The following information can be captured by iTriTracker when defining events:

  • Class (Run, Bike, Swim, Multisport, other)

  • Event Date

  • Start Time

  • Event Type (Default or user-defined)

  • Course (Default or user-defined)

  • Distance

  • Duration

  • Gear (Shoes, Clothes, etc.)

  • Weather (Conditions, Temp, etc.)

  • Vital Signs (HR, Weight, etc.)

  • Lap Data

  • Notes

Once you’ve added your activity, iTriTracker provides you with a variety of ways to analyze it. You can convert the data to a chart format, group events by race type, or view the events by current week, current month or even year-to-date. The intuitive icons help you easily determine whether the event was a bike ride, run, swim or even a race.  You can also print out your activities as monthly calendars, summary and detailed reports for offline viewing.

Coaches and personal trainers can use iTriTracker to set up a training plan and export it for their athletes to follow.

iTriTracker's customizable settings allow you to configure the data to your needs such as storing values in metric vs. statute distances and organizing your schedule based on a Monday-Sunday week (or start your training week on ANY day of the week).  iTriTracker even keeps you up-to-date on your equipment’s statistics. You can track mileage on specific gear, such as shoes or a bike, by simply checking a box.

Since multiple users can track their data at a single source, you can easily share information such as courses, event types, races, gear types, etc.  iTriTracker also allows you to enter multisport workouts (such as triathlon or duathlon events) as a single event.

Finally, iTriTracker allows you to import and enhance Garmin Forerunner data, as well as exports from the coolrunning.com online log.  Users logging their data by other means can import it into iTriTracker using a comma separated value (CSV) file.  Users can also import events from other iTriTracker users. This will primarily allow coaches and/or personal trainers to develop training plans for their athletes to follow.

Interaction

Interacting with iTriTracker is primarily done via the main screen (shown below).  This screen allows you to see all event information in a single, concise view.  Should you wish to always see an overarching view of your workouts, you can select from a variety of pre-defined summary views.  Or, if you'd rather see each event in detail, you're then able to drill down to and review the individual weeks (and the events contained therein).  You can also filter which events are displayed so that only events of a certain type (e.g., runs, bike rides, etc.) are shown.

In the screen below, a Date Range search has been selected.  When a summary view is selected, all events that correspond to that view are shown in the details panel.  (Click the picture for a larger view.)

If you want to review each event on a case-by-case basis, selecting a single event node will change the main view slightly, as shown below.  You'll no longer see the summary list of events (as shown above), but an expanded view of the event details.  (Click the picture for a larger view.)

Regardless of which method you use, you'll always see the following information* for the selected event:

  • Total distance
  • Total Time
  • Average Speed
  • Average Pace
  • Calories Burned
  • Date
  • Start Time
  • Event Type
  • Course
  • Lap Information
  • Vital/Weather Information
  • Gear used during the event

When you select a summary view, you'll also see the totals for the following for all the events that belong to that view*:

  • Total distance
  • Total Time
  • Average Speed
  • Average Pace
  • Calories Burned

*When viewing events and/or summary details that include planned events, not all values will be tallied as they might not be defined as of yet (e.g., for pace or calories burned).

When adding events, you can choose whether you want to see fewer details...

...or all event information.  If a required value has not been defined, its associated label will be bolded.  Once the required field has been populated, its label will return to its normal (unbolded) state.
